I started to notice that my factory plastic rocker protector is starting to warp and get out of shape. Warped rear wheel protection
My truck is still low mileage (73,000 mi) and in very good condition. In the current state, it will be a good place to hold moisture and salt from the road. I’m looking for something to replace them, haven’t checked out genuine replacements to see if that’s an option. I was thinking some type of adhesive protection but haven’t seen any good options. They do sell chrome dress up, but I’ve just seen them for the whole lower rocker, not just behind the rear wheel. Thought some help from the community would turn up something useful.
I was able to locate the factory style at an online ford parts store. Left and right might cost me around $40 after taxes. I guess that isn’t too bad, so long as I get another 10 years before they get out of shape. https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-...l3z99292a22aaa
Are both sides warping ? I was wondering if the exhaust tip could be causing that one side to warp, somehow too hot etc. If both sides are warping similarly, then maybe not the exhaust tip.

Yes, they are, but I cant remember if the DS is as bad. I'm changing out my exhaust later this year to cat-back duals that will exit out the back, so will eliminate any potential issue.
