Just got Big Red
Picked up my 2001 V10 Limited Excursion this past Saturday. This thing is awesome! It already has a K&N air filter on it and I am going to talk to the dealer here about making sure that it is ok with the warranty. If I had put it on myself I would have checked first before putting it on. I have been pleasantly surprised with the gas mileage. I was getting 15 mpg in my 99 Trooper and got 13 mpg in the Excursion for the first 200 miles. (mainly highway, but some gunning it around the city too) Drove it back home last night (7 hours) and the mileage gauge showed 15.1 mpg for the trip. That was for the last 2/3 of the trip. I kept messing with it before that. To top it all off it even fit in the Metro parking deck! I probably looked like an idiot outside this morning with a tape measure measuring my car to make sure it would clear 7'3". Look forward to all the information from this board.
