3M protection film

Where can I buy some 3 M protection film. It is the clear stuff that adhears to the surface & is removed by pulling it off. None of the body supply shops sell it in Omaha NE. They say you have to go to a detailer shop & have them put it on.I have been doing my own paint & body work for years & don't want some Yeahoo touching my rigs.

Take a look at:

http://www.autobodytoolmart.com and run a search on item # 4225.

Suggest requesting catalog. Lot of autobody and paint supplies.

good luck,
dave

Suspect you have found the product by now. If not, suggest go to 3M products web site and run search on the item you are looking for, perhaps 'overspray sheeting'. If you find the item, then search location field and it should tell you where you can purchase 3m products in your area. If the referral store does'nt carry it, they should be able to order if for you.

good luck

3M masking product @ Home Depot

I was just in one of our Home Depot stores Wednesday, and noticed a roll of plastic masking film (by 3M) for sale there. It said right on it for use in "automotive" applications, among several other uses. It was about $13 for a roll, which was 4 feet wide but was folded up to be about 1 foot. Forgot to note the length, but recall it seemed substantial. I also recall seeing a similar product at one of our automotive paint outlets several weeks ago, but it was ridiculously more expensive.... like in the $35+ range. I don't know if this is exactly what you are looking for, but it might serve the need.
