Went out to my truck , 2023 F350 6.7, after dark to get something out of it and when I opened the door the interior lights never came on. Looked in owners manual and found that my switch for that function was lit up amber . Meaning it was off. No big deal. Turned it on and locked/ unlocked the doors and its still black. What am I missing? THanks!
Decided to go on a test drive after I turned that feature back “ on” . Noticed once engine was running that if I opened a door lights came right on . Went for like a 20mi drive and when I got back everything worked fine . Turned truck off and locked it and unlocked and opened a door . All lights came on fine . Who knows , maybe it was in battery saver mode but I put my battery maintainer on it and batteries tested full. Oh
well, it’s a mystery

My F150 would do that when battery was low. No lights would come on and passenger door would not unlock just by grabbing. Dealer never could find solution and just told me it drive it more.

I did get a notification that FORD had done a remote update, and that seems to always drain my battery! LOL But its all good for now. My maintainer showed batteries full however which is weird. The switch was turned " Off" initially so I'm sure if I accidentally hit it or if trucked turned the switch off.
Under Vehicle and General I messed with 2 settings I think. “Courtesy Lights” I think was the one that worked. 😀
My 2023 has a button that is a picture of a truck with a door open and a light symbol . That was lit up when they didn’t work . Owners manual says if it is on they are “ off” . So I turned it back on . But I had to drive it a little for them to work . I will look in my settings tomorrow to see if I can see what your seeing
