1996 f250 map sensor
After testing my map sensors voltages I’ve noticed everytime it’s humid it rains I get a limo code from it and a check engine light. Today I sprayed it with wd40 to displace the water and it worked perfect but after a heavy heavy rain on the way down the engine cut off when I stopped from the same thing. I again sprayed it with oil and it was fine. Does anyone has a solution to stop water from getting to it? Or do you think I need heat shrink new covers on the wires where they were tapped? Idk if the sensor it self is getting moist or just the wires

Is the rubber hood seal stll present? What about the rubber seal on the MAP electrical connector? It's possible the sensor housing is cracked and letting moisture in so you might just replace it anyway... that is a common problem with ignition coils too.
