Headlight switch pushed in👿
One day I guess I pushed the headlight switch a little to hard and it went straight in and now I’m pissed. I was wondering if it’s held in by glue or a nut because I really don’t wanna take the dash off just for this one switch, and if there is away for it to clip in with out taking the dash off.

The chrome colored ring right behind the headlight switch **** screws onto the front of the headlight switch and HOLDS IT IN PLACE. I use a large flatblade screwdriver to tighten once I get the threads started and run down onto the switch.
Behind the cluster face the switch is a big box. On the side of the big box it a spring-loaded button. The button is the release so you can pull the **** & shaft out of the switch. Depress the button, and then manipulate the switch shaft in and then out to remove. You can then have access to the chrome fastener to tighten the switch back in place. Once tight, push the **** shaft into the switch. it has a pointy end that has to go past the release button catch.
when you pull the know off, the lights will go on, but you can use the **** & shaft to GENTLY push the light switch to the OFF position.
