Hello everyone, I have something going on with my 2019 I need some help with. I disconnected my camper a few days ago and since then when I start the truck instead of getting my trip screen like I always have it shows me the towing screen. I can scroll back to the trip screen and it stays there until I cut the truck off. When I start the truck again the tow info screen is back on. I bought a new trailer recently and didn't think the brakes were working and I went into tow settings and I guess I changed something I shouldn't have. Any help is appreciated.
If post #2 doesn't solve the issue (sometimes it doesn't on my 2019), reconnect the trailer plug to the truck with the engine running and disconnect with the engine running.
you unplugged the trailer with the truck off so the trailer is still selected on the towing screen. should be able to unselect it on the tow screen
I've often read this on the forum. But I unplug a trailer with the truck shut off almost every day. The tow screen does not appear when I restart the truck.

Maybe they fixed that in '22, or maybe you're not actually selecting a trailer. I know my truck did that some time shortly after I bought it, but I quit selecting the trailer(s) years ago. I just plug in and go - everything works and I don't have to do anything special when I unplug.

It also did not happen with a 2017, 2019 or 2020. But you may have a point. Early on I thought I'd enter each trailer just to keep track of tire mileage. But it got to be such a pain switching back & forth I gave up on that idea rather quickly.
I don't have any trailers entered these days and on the occasions that it asks me if I want to add a trailer, I do not.

With some trucks it works, with others it doesn't. It's a mystery. My 2017 knows the trailer isn't there any more and doesn't show the tow screen at the next start. I have yet to see a post where someone got to the bottom of why it works on some trucks but not others.
