Tailgate for '66 Styleside

I am looking for a really good condition tailgate for a '66 Styleside. I do not want a repro '64-72 model. Color doesn't matter but should not have dents on top of tailgate. Should not have rust either. Thank you

me too but they are hard to find... plus there are different sizes.. my 8' 66 is different from a 66 6' bed.. im going to get a new one..

You're thinking of the Flareside beds, the '64-'66 STYLESIDE beds all use the same gate, the "wrongnbeds also have their own gate..

You're thinking of the Flareside beds, the '64-'66 STYLESIDE beds all use the same gate, the "wrongnbeds also have their own gate..

IF you have a 1964/66 F100/250 2WD, 1966 F100 4WD ... There's only ONE Styleside Tailgate, short or long bed makes no difference!

btw: In post #1, the member is looking for a Styleside tailgate that has a steel bed floor.

But if your truck is a Flareside (has outside fenders and a wood bed floor), the short bed uses a different tailgate (49 13/16" long) than the long bed (54 13/16" long).

C4TZ-9940700-A .. Styleside Tailgate / Obsolete / 1964/66 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD

In 1967, Ford obsoleted this tailgate, replaced it with the 1967 (1967/72) F100/250 Tailgate for use as a "service part replacement."

ALL the mounting hardware is exactly the same, however the 1967/72 tailgate looks slightly different.
