gas tank swap
I knocked a hole in my 2000 ranger gas tank and i hav e a doner 1997 tank but the fuel pump is different and has 4 wires and my 2000 only has 7 wires, is there any way this will work ?????

will the old pump fit the tank or are they totally different. Autozone sells pumps (I have one for years on my 94) so just either transfer your old one if it fit or buy one to replace it with .If needed buy a elec schematic and see what goes where with the 7 wires Its has probably something to do with dash panel readouts (?).

I have a fuel pump I can jerry rig in on the wiring to make the pump run ,,, but I will not be able to put the fuel pressure sensor in . Will it run without the sensor or is there a way to bypass it ????
