Hey all! I have a question to ask. I've been researching extensively and not only have I come up with nothing, but also screwed myself already. I have a 2004 E150 5.4 with a 4r70w 4C2P 7000 BA transmission in it. Tranny is shot, I threw a 1999 tranny in, found out the output shaft gear for the VSS is different and now I'm back to square one. Just wondering what transmissions would be compatible with my van! I am okay with replacing with a 4r75w if that's a possibility. Thank you so much and have a great day.

So why not either buy the same trans or have yours rebuilt, why try to put something else in?
The issue I'm encountering is I don't have the tools or expertise to rebuild the transmission and the shops near me want $4000+ to rebuild it
The other issue is in 2004 Ford changed the transmission to a 4r75E, except in the vans, it stayed a 4r70w but the output ring changed from 6 to 24 for the VSS. Since it's a one year only transmission, I'm having difficultly finding one with under 250,000 miles
