93 F150 4x4 4speed (clutch, gearing questions)
Hey Folks,
I have a second truck... a 93' F150 4x4 4sp 4.9l which seems to have a clutch problem to me. It doesn't seem to start engaging until I have released the clutch over half way. My other 93' F150 grabs at about 1/8 to 1/4 the from the bottom. Is there an adjustment that can be made or does it look like the clutch assembly needs to be replaced????
Also this 4 speed has the granny gear so only gears 2 thru 4 are really usable unless I am heavily loaded on a hill. Should I stick with the 4 speed or look to put a 5 speed in???
And how do I determine what my gearing ratios are... the rear end, etc??
Thanks in advance.
