Truck would be a new F450, diesel (not the HO), 4.30's, 4x4.
Unloaded running the interstate 70-75?
Pulling a 15-16K fifth wheeler 65 mph. 2 adults with a couple of hundred pounds of gear in the bed.
Thank you
Google is your friend and will get you pretty close to what you're looking for. You're going to have $150K or more invested in truck and 5er is MPG really what you're worried about? Google will give you a ballpark estimate of what you can expect, if its 1-2 MPG difference and that breaks the bank you may want to reconsider your plan. https://www.google.com/search?q=2022...hrome&ie=UTF-8

13-14 unloaded at freeway speeds
I get 10 towing our 18k rig at 65mph max speed
I had a 14k rig that I towed with an 18 250 and got 11mpg towing at 65mph max speed. That truck had the same engine but with 355 gears. I've been pleased with the mpg the 450 gets considering how low geared it is. Towing with it is effortless and fun. It loves to work.
You will get some higher numbers from the lie o meter and those who believe what they see on the dash. My numbers are hand calculated and on this truck it's been very close to what the dash says ironically.
I will say in my 21 45 the gas gauge is dead nuts accurate with no "hidden" reserve. When it says 50 miles to empty the 48 gallon tank will hold 46 gallons. That was an adjustment as every vehicle I have owned since 2005 or so had a considerable reserve that didn't show on the gauge.

Thanks, not as good as I thought it would get. Been exploring all my options as my next truck will be the last truck I buy. Might have to explore a DW 350 with 3:55’s. Still 12-18 months away from pulling the trigger on the purchase.

Guess I'm in a decent mood tonight....rarity these days to questions asked almost daily.
This was a 3359 mile round trip. From SE Iowa to Sedona, AZ going thru Colorado and Utah on the way there. Going thru NM, TX, OK, and MO on the way home. Unloaded and averaging 70mph. Trip to Sedona got almost 17.5 before slow short trips brought it down. Hand calculations were within 0.1-0.2 every tank.
Come on, guys. Everyone here has been on FTE long enough to know that personal attacks aren’t allowed. If you can’t be better than that, I recommend Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, or just about anywhere else.
Unloaded mine hovers at an honest 17 MPG IF I use the cruise control and set it at 70 MPH. It drops rapidly as I exceed 70 MPH and increases slightly at 65 MPH.
I don't have a 5ver, I have a ~10,000 lb. TT. I usually tow at 65 MPH or so and when I do, with the truck loaded with gear too, it sits pretty consistently at 11 MPG. I'm guessing yours will be slightly lower given the weight and wind catching area.
I can't imagine the torque with 4.30 gears. Mine moves my TT so easily I am genuinely shocked sometimes. Merging onto the Interstate is definitely not an issue - truly amazing power - and I have a 2019 which is weaker than the later versions of the 6.7.
Big party this morning - I got diesel for $4.09 / gallon !!
