My 02 F350 7.3L power stroke died while driving. I made a phone call and was told if the tach wasnt moving while trying to crank it was a crankshaft position sensor. I changed it out and the truck drove for around 200 miles before doing it again i warrantied the part and was able to drive another 10 or so miles before the same thing happening again. I was told that it sounded like a temperature related computer problem, or a bare wire shorting out the sensor.
Tach won't move on the digital clusters when cranking. Thst only works in the earlier models. So you probably have another issue besides the cps and was just a coincidence.
Little more info on what it does how it runs and what's it die when it dies will help you get a little better information on what to check.
Runs great. When it dies there is no throttle response then shortly after that motor shuts down and wont crank back up. I sat on the side of the road for about two hours and cranked it up again and it took me another ten miles or so before doing the same thing.

The cps that i purchased was from prosource Diesel. The other two orielly. If i crank on it for 60 seconds or so it will build oil pressure and the tach will hop a little up What else could it be?
Based on that little info I would lean torwards ipr valve. But that's more of a guess without actually diagnosing it correctly. Need to check icp psi, ipr dc%, and fuel pressure to diagnose properly.

I did just replace the icp not to long ago. Sinister diesel was where i got it from. How do i check those things?
I've seen a lot mroe ipr vavles bad then icp sensors. Quick test for icp sensor is just unplug it and computer will go to default settings and still run with it unplugged.
For fuel pressure jsut get a fuel pressure gauges and hook it up to the fuel drain valve with clamps and then open the drain valve.
For the other you will needs a scanner of some sorts to read the data from computer. Cheapest way is a bluetooth/wifi obd2 single from Amazon and forscan lite app.

The scanner will be here Saturday i got a kobra elm 327. What will change by unplugging the icp sensor? I heard that it gives the engine "all the oil pressure" so to speak and it will run. But when i unplugged it the truck would not start.
It just tricks the computer into thinking there is high pressure oil so it will fire injectors. The problem isn't the icp. I'd put my money on ipr valve. But check fuel pressure also.

Will check everything Saturday and update then. Will also check with the scanner. Is that a good brand?
Looks exactly like my bafx one with a different sticker on it so should work fine. The forscan lite app is only avaliable on Android now though. It's a good app with the obd2 reader. Will do buzz tests. Cct test. Read codes clear codes. And all the computer pids.

What’s your fuel level? They will “run out” at around 1/4 tank if the pickup foot breaks of in the tank.
Is the nut still on the back of the IPR?
Truck won’t start with ICP unplugged? Could you have disconnected the IPR by mistake? If it was starting with ICP connected then it should also start with it disconnected. It won’t start with IPR disconnected.
How’s the oil level? They will stop running if oil gets low enough.

OEM Ford or International only on those cam sensors, or really any electrical sensor. Aftermarket stuff a lot of people have bad luck with.
