The idiot that built my truck ( Me ) hasn't put any heater in it yet. Has any one used that small one the Sacramento ford sells. I have an old ford heater that went in one but the outer case is rusted where the heater core leak and caused it to rust. For the car show tomorrow and any others I find before I have my shoulder replaced in the end of November i am going to use a buddy heater. I don't want to put a big heater in it or an magic air style. Thanks
I wouldn't recommend a buddy heater in a vehicle, could be dangerous. Not enough fresh air, those propane powered heaters the drive in would give us to stay open for a couple more weeks, they would fog up the windows and give you a heck of a headache. I worked at an accessory dealer for years, we installed a lot of rear heaters in conversion vans back then. If you have room under seat for something the size of an old under dash AC unit. Install was easy, Power wire, couple of mounting screws, couple of holes for heater hoses. They could pump out some BTU's.
I do plan on not using it while I drive. I forgot to mention that. Just heat up the cab some before i drive off. My fuse panel is under one seat on a drawer and not much room under the other seat
