Transmission or Universal joint??
I own a 1994 F-150. With a 4.9 L or .300 cu in. inline 6 and a standard transmission (all stock). I am having a clunking, a squeaking and a clicking noise depending on what I am doing. The clunking usually occurs when I speed up quickly higher gears, the clicking when I speed up in low gears or when I torque it in low gears. The sqeaking or squealing when I gear down from 2-3 and 2-1. This may sound trivial to some and if it does that is good. I am not good at diagnosing but good at repairing. If anyone can offer any advice on what it may be I would appreciate the help.

Transmission or Universal joint??
First you want to check all of your ujoints. You can do this by putting the truck on a flat surface, and blocking the tires. Set the parking brake and put the truck in neutral. (not running of course). now crawl under the truck and move the drive shaft up and down and try and turn back and forth, if you see any play replace the joint you see moving. check everyone and if you have a two piece drive shaft also check the support bearing.
