I am working on prepping and painting the bed and back fenders on my 1952 F1 and I can't figure out where this part goes. Does anyone recognize this piece of sheet metal?

Interesting to know as I found the same sort of piece in my box of goodies the other week and didn't know what it came off, either. My previous truck just had a big piece of rubber mudguard screwed in there.
