rabs light just popped on 90 bronco

rabs light in my 90 bronco 302 just came on
i did no brake work or anyhting just popped on when i started it up the other day
and ideas? please help !

If it makes you feel better, mine has been on for 9 years and my brakes work fine ! Believe it or not, I am going to replace the connector on top of the rear end in the next few weekends and I will let you know the results if you are interested ?

Let me know what you find with your's though. I put electrical tape over my light and literally forgot about it until earlier this year when I did some dashboard work.

Mine was on forever too, untill i pulled out the bulb! Plus I dont run an 8.8 rear anymore anyway!

Sounds like the speed sensor on the top of the rear Diff has either failed or the wire has somehow broken. the other possibility is the exciter ring has loosened but you would likely hear noise comming from that. The last possibility is the ABS pump has given up the ghost just from doing it's cycle at startup.

In the end you don't really need RABS but sometimes it can help.
