How the hell does a shop or a tech diagnose a part to be faulty when it doesn't even exist on the truck?
You would be amazed at the level of idiocracy from RockHill ford. I ended up going up there and getting a refund on the part. And the computer says my truck has one. But with further research on this forum manual AC trucks do not have a cabin air temp sensor.
I have a 2005 Excursion (Diesel). I’ve taken to the dealer 3 times and had many A/C related “repairs” with no success to try and solve this problem:
in the city, low or regular speeds, A/C works fine. Blows hard and cold.
when I go on a trip maybe 30-45 min with highway speeds the air is barely coming out even though it’s on the highest fan speed. The air is cold as normal, but it’s just seeping out the vents
if I shut down the a/c system for 10-15 minutes and turn back on, it works for a bit (still
not blowing as strong but better) and then same thing occurs. Hardly anything coming out.
seems like the rear a/c is never affected and works as normal best I can tell.
I have searched all over internet and this is the closest thread I can find to my problem.
