Does anybody have a example of what ball joint press kit I need to get to put my upper and lower ball joints on? I got my xrf ball joints in this afternoon. I was thinking to get the master kit from advanced. But I've heard some folks say that not all kids come with what you need for these trucks. Any advice?
Well, I got the biggest baddest puller around here from an auto parts store that I could get and it was not big enough and I had to get by with all kinds of stuff that was not supposed to be used but I got one side done. What are the torque specs for these? My computer is still down so I cannot use the service manual that Sous was kind enough to give me.
Thanks for all the help guys. Just got done putting my mounting bracket and caliper back on the passenger side. All I got to do is put that tire on and I'm done. Then it's off to the alignment shop tomorrow. Actually first is to head to the auto parts store and return this ball joint press that was $280 up front to rent of course you get all of that back but, it was missing parts when we got it. That being said, they better not accuse me of losing those parts. I will be a mad son of a gun. All in all, ball joints didn't seem to be that hard on this truck and didn't take me that long. Although I will say doing all those big torque numbers in tight places has sure made my back go to hurting with all the problems that it has and my carpal tunnel in my hands go to hurting. I feel like I've been beat up but it didn't seem that hard. All in all, I hope this fixes my weird tire wearing issue. It wore down good used tires in a month so there was definitely some problems and when I jacked the truck up you could see the tire move outwards a good inch or inch and a half. All brand new million mile warranty xrf installed so hopefully I won't have any problems for a long time to come. Now all I have to do is get new hubs so I can put on my new rotors and calipers. Again, thanks guys for the help!
My ball joints were pretty bad. Here's a little video. Glad I got them changed out now I just need to get an alignment done

Definitely need and alignment. My truck seems to track straight but it seems to sway back and forth when driving. Then again my steering was so stiff before it was ridiculous so maybe I'm overcompensating while steering and doing it myself. Not.sure but I have a new Ford tie rod adjusting sleeve on the way to put on before taking it to the allignment shop. The best shop I know of and have been recommended to, quoted 110 dollars to change the sleeve and 80 on top to line the front end up.
I checked that this morning after I found myself swaying and was 1 inch toed in. I adjusted it out a little bit. I'll check again this afternoon and see if anything is different. Thanks
