Hello FTE experts, I have been getting lots of good advice on this site so I thought I would see if anyone knows about emergency light wiring. I have a 1965 F100 Custom Cab survivor 352 with Borg Warner T18 4 speed that I have been slowly fixing up. I would like to add some emergency flashers to it...which I believe were an option in 1965 that my truck did not originally have. Anyhow I picked up this emergency flasher wiring harness a few years back that I just rediscovered in my collection of misc. F100 parts. Was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to wire this thing into my existing wiring harness? I will attach some pictures. Thank you for any advice you can provide...I'm sure I will it need as I hate being upside down under the dash.
That thing is just plug and play. Just unplug the turn signal connector on the column and plug that in. Put a flasher on it. Hook the orange wire to the center terminal on the ignition switch and flash on. The flasher light is generally closest to the column. Obviously if you have a manual choke and a heater switch you will have to drill another hole.
I apologize for not mentioning this in the other post. I'm old.
Just occurred to me there is a better place to connect that orange wire. It has been a while since I hooked one of these up. If you follow the harness back a few inches from the ignition switch there is a yellow wire with a female plug on it, if it isn't being used, plug it into that yellow wire. That yellow wire is always hot.

Thank you Crop Duster, I got underneath the dash this weekend and got it all hooked up. I figured out from some online pictures of E- flasher harness's that I need a Flasher relay / fuse for the short blue and orange wires to connect to, picked that up at NAPA. Emergency Flashers are working with key in off position. Got the proper holes drilled in the dash so it works good and looks good, I'm happy. Thanks for your help.
