90 E4OD swap for 95 1/2 or newer

Anybody have any info on how much trouble it is to swap out the "worthless for towing" E4OD for a 95 1/2 or newer tranny. 2 rebuilds and 3 torque converters in 150k is enough.
Thanks
Mark

Are you sure your trans is an E4OD and not an AODE ? I thought the E4OD was a pretty tough trans. I know the AOD is junk (rebuilt mine twice). Anyway, check out baumann engineering at http://www.baumannengineering.com/ for some good info. I know you'll either need the computer from the original vehicle, or an aftermarket unit to control the new trans.
