So its time to upgrade the ole brakes on the 01. Is there a common upgrade for calipers? I thought I read somewhere once that F-450 calipers are a thing.
I used AutoZone phenolic piston calipers when I completely rebuilt my front brakes 2 years ago. They came highly recommended by a family friend that I trust and has been working on these trucks for two decades.
Also, I had an on the road failure of the existing left front caliper and AutoZone got me back on the road with parts within 24 hours after I changed the caliper and line while traveling.

What ever you do don’t go ceramic I hate the ones I just put on just don’t want to stop truck to hard of material. At least orielys is going to let me switch for different.
I have these. They work well. I got mine from an eBay seller doing a scratch n dent sale. I paid ~$700 and I think I put more scratches on them putting the wheels back on than what they came with.

Which pads are those? the Akebono? I'm probably going for the Motorcraft blue pads on the front next. For the price they look like the winners. Not parts store crap but not the ridiculously overpriced EBC stuff either.

I don't think 450 or 550 hardware will bolt to 250/350's without changing basically everything else.
I believe you will need at least the 450/550 knuckles. @SkySkiJason knows for sure.
Didnt read the thread, but yes you’ll need F450/550 knuckles to run the larger rotors and calipers. This will also require larger wheels (20”?). Otherwise, it should be a bolt-on swap (your axle shafts, hub bearings, locking hubs, etc should still work)
