Should I pull the Hydra off and then try running it? I’ve read the 00 tune is stock and I’ve also heard it’s just the last tune the pcm remembers, if that’s the stick tune try that I assume? I don’t have an actual stick tune
I have a not yet installed Hydra, I am driving on stock tune with old TS6. I cannot give you too much info but '00' aka double aught on the Hydra sticks in my mind as base tune on PCM.
For sure, just stopped at a gas station a long the interstate for the dog to get out. Still got three hours left on the trip so I’ll try the stock tune and let you know how it goes.
Stock tune should be a “like stock” tune. As in stock like behavior with the injectors you have. If that doesn’t help try taking the hydra out completely as Eric mentioned. He’s running stock injector tune on 205/30s so you should be fine
Well putting it in stock didn’t really do much, cooked it down maybe between 50-100 degrees. Speedometer still shakes, straight rolling coal and now to even get it to 4th/OD I have to floor it but it’s way too hot to even let in stay in that gear.
On my way back to Tennessee and decided to try just keeping OD off to see if that helps and it’s kept me under 1300 degrees pretty consistently. I’ve hit it or over it maybe a couple times but then the temp dropped back down. With the 00 stock hydra tune or my daily driver tune At 65 with cruise control set I’m sitting at about 1175-1250. Speedometer shake has decreased a little while doing. Haven’t noticed any real difference between using either tune while doing this.
