my friend has 87 ford pickup with a 5.0 efi. does anybody know anybody that done this or can give me any info.

Well I did the conversion On my 88 F-150 4X4, to be honest if your looking for more power your best bet is more cubic inches. The truck has more power but it will end up costing you a fortune by the time you get the computer calibrated and install a cam that is better suited to the weight of a pickup, instead of a 3300 lb. car. I think that I would look towards a 351.
