I have a 1993 ford F350 duelly, with a 12 foot steel flatbed. The engine is a 5.8, with the ZF5 standard trans. The clutch is chattering when engaged,, and slipping under load. I changed it once before, it's a 10 inch. I'm thinking the clutch really should be an 11 inch, but I need advice. I would imagine it may just require upgrading the flywheel ( not that its easy to do ! ) Should I just get the best 10 inch, or upgrade? Any, and all advice appreciated, including brands, sources, etc, etc. Thanks.
Did you just put the new clutch on a used flywheel? That could be part of the slipping and chattering issue.
Second i think you can upgrade no problem to an 11 without any modification.
Or find a good aftermarket clutch from ram or centerforce.
