Howdy yall, I've been looking into these lund sunvisors for years (by looking I mean seeing them for years lol) but now that I've been working on my truck alot lately after I tore it down from the wreck i had last year, i fugre now is the time do some stuff I've always been wanting to do to the truck such as neglected maintenance (because of it being my only vehicle) and other cosmetic exterior/interior stuff etc.
I just started thinking about the fact that i have cab lights installed on my truck and was curious if anyone has ever had one of these installed with cab lights installed as well?
I know that there's a lighted version of these sunvisors that emulates the cablights, but if the cab lights need to removed for install I guess i'll just have to cut into the visor?
Also as far as the install goes I've seen some people recommending silicon to be used to seal these up, and as far as mounting it i guess just use some self tappers??
All the Lund visors I have are shaped to avoid the factory cab lights.
I have all of mine attached using 1/4-20 riv nuts and stainless steel button head fasteners. I silicone in the riv nuts to seal them, and use a dab of sealer on the threads of the stainless hardware when installing them. Leak free seal, looks nice when finished. Takes a little more time than just using their supplied taper screws.
MOST of the Lund visors have cutouts for cab lights, but some do NOT. if not it is easy enough to cut them with a jigsaw.
As for mounting them I use the same screws they provide but stainless. Then there are paint to match or "chrome" caps that snap onto the screw head.
I uses a dab of silicone one the screw hole and a coat the screw thread with silicone as well.
I do not use nutserts for the simple reason, they will spin over time. Just look at your mirror attaching bolt nutserts

own a truck with cab lights/visor and father has had two with this.
Mount it correct and it'll work fine. If you want pictures I can get you one from each of the trucks.
