New Member here from Louisiana. Going to order a F350 single rear wheel with an 8ft bed. I’m here to do some research on different set ups. I’m going from a Tundra to a F350. I was on the Tundra forum since 2010. So I don’t want to create threads that have already been discussed. Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance for the help
Check out the size and turning radius of these trucks. A crew cab with an 8' bed is a large beast compared to a Tundra. The standard cab with 8' bed has a decent turning radius and is the most maneuverable of these large trucks.
My current truck is a Supercab with 8' bed. It is great on the open road but parking in tight spaces is not the easiest thing to do.
Well, welcome to the site. And we're going to need just a wee bit more information than "I don’t want to create threads that have already been discussed. Please point me in the right direction." You'll get all the direction you could want, but you have to give us a starting point. If you have a specific question, ask it. Someone will have the answer.

That's what the D & R is for and now with so many soccer moms wanting these beast Ford through in a reverse camera.
Lets start with the proposed use of the truck? Are you going to tow a 5th wheel or gooseneck? Do you use the truck for carrying heavy payloads or cross country travels?
I have F350 4 door long bed srw. 7.3 4.30 xl As what others say. Parking or turning in tight spots that were designed for match box cars is not fun. But I love the truck. I use it as a daily driver farm truck etc. it is working all the time. I have had 5 pre teen girls and two dogs in the back seat out on the farm. My daughters friends wanted to see the cows. Rain storm broke out. I like the 8 ft bed as I can throw 2x4’s and fence post in close tailgate and head to the city for a date night with the wife. If I were not working the truck like I do I could be just as happy with something else. Above it was mentioned. What is intended use. There is a wealth of information that will flow from all here so you can gather it and make the best decision for you and your use. It helped me and 18k miles later no regrets. Mine is a work truck but we made a 8 hr trip at Christmas to visit family. Two girls and a dog. Was best ride ever. So much room. I don’t remember all my features but I do remember it has the sway bar camper tow package snow plow prep. I added gooseneck puck system Ford oem linex liner. Only after market so far is the tiger tough seat covers and toolbox. I think it was mentioned that my set up not special ordered but found on a lot before the complete madness. That I had about the most payload. I will try and upload the info later. But you came to the right place. You will get all the information and more. Be honest with yourself and your intended uses and you will get pointed in the right direction. Its not a half ton luxury ride. Although Some of the upper trim models ride very nice.
