1992 F150 4x4 transmission jumping out of gear
I posted a previous message [https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/80_96/2051.html]
and got several good replies (thanks). I have taken it out and popped the top off. Shift forks have minimum wear, so that is not problem. I suspect something (probably a bearing) on the main shaft is letting it (the main shaft) move. The input shaft and gears look good. The shift lever does not move and it is jumping out of all gears. I got it to even jump out of reverse. It is a mazda 5 speed. Has anyone had similar problems? Anything I should be looking out for?
