93 F150 Transmission Problem

I changed fluid on my AOD transmission, and accidentally overfilled it. Can I pump the excessive fluid through the dip stick tube without harming the transmission?

Thanks,
Inge

You can also take off the top tranny cooler line going into the rad and put a bottle over the end and fire the truck up...
