Need some help! So 2 week ago I put a new Adrenaline HPOP in my 2003 7.3 after the first day I started having an idle problem it would go up and down about 100 rpm. I talked with Is thoroughbred diesel and they had me put a new icp and new ipr. Well now after 800 miles it's worse now it's a 300 rpm up and down.. One other thing I have noticed is a slight unburnt diesel smell in the exhaust..
I have stock Ejectors
A hydra chip
and a few other basic things.
So what do I do I try next?

Do Not throw parts at it.
Get FORScan and read the codes, then we can help you out.
Search the tech folders for information on how to use FORScan.

ok thanks I'll look in to this. I'll have to find a laptop to use I don't own one.
For the ICP and IPR are they OEM or aftermarket? Aftermarket *might* be a problem.
You need a way to monitor sensors to sort out the running issues and read the codes. Best bet these days is Forscan app on your mobile phone or laptop plus an OBDII adapter. Those run from
Also inspect the underside of the harness that runs to the 42 pin connector on the driver side valve cover. The wires can rub in contact with the VC and short causing various problems.
The IPR or ICP are suspect especially if you went aftermarket brand. Check the wiring for each as well.
Have you tried it with the ICP disconnected? It will run off a default setting when you do that. That can help troubleshoot at times.
We have also seen the engine oil temp sensor cause funny idle issues lately. You would have been messing with this during your HPOP swap. Any issues there? I’d check the wiring for this well.
We’ll know more of a direction to head when you can read the ICP values etc.
@Y2KW57 can you merge the OP’s duplicate threads please? (Done)

So I got the ford scan and put a screen shot up. Guessing probably a wiring issue.

There is a lot going on right now in this thread. There are several questions from FTE'rs that I would encourage you to address before going further.
1. Dave asked, for the ICP and IPR are they OEM or aftermarket?
- Aftermarket sensors do NOT play well with the 7.3L PSD.
2. Jason asked, The IPR or ICP are suspect especially if you went aftermarket brand.
- Aftermarket sensors do NOT play well with the 7.3L PSD
3. Jason mentioned, Check the wiring for each as well.
- You know where these sensors are at already, check the wiring just behind the connector and a bit toward the harness. Do you see any bare copper spots, do the wires looked stressed or damaged?
4. Jason mentioned, we have also seen the engine oil temp sensor cause funny idle issues lately.
- This is absolutely correct. We know for a fact that the EOT contributes to fuel and ignition parameter changes.
5. You said, Guessing probably a wiring issue.
- How did you come to this conclusion? What PID's were you looking at when you had "the screen shot up"? If you are referring to the DTC's in post #1, they could be related, but might not be. That is a good place to start though.
- Since you have FORScan available to you, load up the following PID's and tell us what they say while idling. Or, take a screen shot or log a data file and we can graph is for you.
If you are having trouble finding the PID's or setting them up properly, take a look at the following Q&A built by an FTE'r.
