In Green River, WY I entered this dark tunnel at my usual 65 mph. My first thought was that truck ahead of me is going awfully slow. A millisecond later I realized he was stopped. A quick glance in my mirror and nobody was beside me. I cut over as fast as I could barely missing the truck. Even if there was someone beside me I would have cut over anyway instead of hitting the back of the truck at 50 mph. I think that was as scared as I've ever been in my whole life. The truck must have just stopped or he would have been out there with flares or something. Funny thing is just a couple of hours before that my oldest daughter asked me "what if something happens to you and mom, what do we do?"
Holy crap Glenn. That is really scary. Shifting that big load so quickly must have been a wild ride. Glad you are okay and are able to share the story with us
Oh man Glenn. I'm so glad you and your wife are OK. This type of stuff worries me more as I get old enough to see that it can just happen when you are not expecting it. Be safe the rest of your travels!!

Key words there, when you are not expecting it! We all do it and growing older I find myself not paying enough attention and day dreaming. Bad, Bad, Bad! On the railroad we used to have a saying, never assume anything because if you do, it could kill you!

Good to hear from you Todd. Made it home today at last. These trips are getting longer and longer with more break downs. How is the Mare?

Shes still there. Lol. Dang front cab mounts were pretty rotted and that’s crushed any progress. I need to get back out there and get crackin!
