Soft Brake Woes
2001 7.3 CCSB 4x4 300k miles
So here is the deal...
I have a soft pedal. I've bled a few times, new calipers, pads, and rotors all the way around, and rubber lines are new(er).
BUT
After a hard braking incident, they firm up. They will also firm up if you push the brake all the way to the floor and release it. They will remain firm for the rest of the drive, but the next time you get in to drive, they will be soft again.
What is going on here?
Also another issue I don't feel like creating another thread for is when accelerating with rpm's at 3k (near redline) and fan clutch engaged, if the fan starts to disengage I will hear a loud buzzing. Normal operation or failing clutch? Feels firm when spun with engine off, but I have not checked for play yet.
