I have a 97 power stroke that has a miss and bucks jerks like crazy around 1500 rpm. And it is almost impossible to hold it at a steady rpm between 1200 and 2000. Here is a list of what has been done/replaced with no luck on fixing the issue.
new injectors
new UVCH’s
new fuel bowl and regulator
new cps
new icp
new ipr
new idm
new ivs
new tps
Ohm’ed out the injector harness when replacing the idm. Was good there.
Fresh oil and filter
new fuel filter
If there were a rolled o-ring would there be oil in the fuel bowl??
when you give the slightest amount of throttle it jumps up to around 2100 and seams run good. And if mess with pedal long enough you can get it stay around 1500 or so but the miss shows up. Then you let off completely it runs really rough for a few seconds then smooths out and idles good. I don’t know.???

There would probably be fluids mixing if a O ring got messed up. This will give you a bump to the top, hopefully someone will come along to help.

there will be oil in the fuel bowl if you had a rolled injector ring. Does your filter look black and slimy?
I would verify the new TPS signal is outputting properly.
I would swap the old pedal/TPS back in or see if you can reset it.
Turn the key to on, and slowly depress the pedal to the very bottom in about 10 seconds. Turn the key off, pull it out, and do the whole process 3 or 4 times after the ignition chime stops.
I did this on mine after having similar issues and it fixed a couple weird issues. My actual issue was fuel related, more precisely e fuel wiring...
