I am a real fleet customer and G2 is the code Ford assigned me . I can access all the Ford fleet website information since I have a FIN and a password but it's essentially worthless. nothing there anyone can't find on the internet.

Tracking my order is a breeze though that part is nice and I get a $2500 incentive that part is good too.

I try hard to research and explain to others about the system. I try hard not to make it personal.

In your case, you got the correct code from FORD as you are a fleet customer. Your priority is different than a retail order. But even with your code, it has its issues in the crazy FORD ordering system and wanted others to learn what a fleet number means.

Someone like me who ordered thru a fleet department, received a retail priority not a fleet priority as I am not an authentic fleet customer although my employer is. And others here who go to the fleet department for their ordering because of their technical competence, will also get a retail order priority not a fleet number. And I am sure that some will think they can.

As you alluded to, the pricing is different also. From reading some of the info online, some of the discounts are not applicable, but there would be others that would be tailored to the fleet area. I believe that there are some options that are only available to fleet orders also.

Most here on the forums are retail orders, but they are looking for any angle to speed things up, save money etc. But, this area will not be open to them as they are not true fleet orders.

I want others here to understand the fleet orders and the priority codes after reading your post regarding your code.

I am sure the truck you have ordered will be all that you could have envisioned.

No problem I'm trying to figure it out too. if there's any information in the fleet site that would help you since you are into this I'd be glad to see what I can find.

As a fleet customer I can get some fleet type colors and delete or add some things retail buyers can't. I can also pick my build week for anytime AFTER the earliest available build date. but other than that I don't think I get any special perks other than the price incentive.

I do think anyone ordering now needs to get the information from the dealer and keep track of their build . dealers can and some will bump you to a lower priority and use your build date for another order if they desire. I've had that done to me several times back before I got wise to it. and if that was ever going to happen it would be now.

My original point was since my order is set to be built the 2nd week of July and I ordered it 2 weeks ago I wouldn't expect a build date earlier than the end of July at this point. and that may be optimistic.

I found the information regarding fleet orders and their status to be interesting. While I knew of fleet orders, I did not know how different they are treated from retail orders.

While you have selected a particular week for your build, in the information that I have read and tried to relay, there is no guarantee of it. And in this year when production is being affected, I think it is likely that it will slip.

But the order codes and fleet orders is very interesting although most members will only be able to make a retail order. But I would say to all those ordering, use the fleet department as they are the most knowledgeable about trucks.

You are correct about being in communication with the dealership for the most up to date information regarding your order.

Back to retail codes.

1 to 9 are assigned only by FORD.
80 is an inventory order and is last in the que to be selected to be built.
10 to 19 are dealer selected priorities for retail orders
19 is the default retail priority

Of course there is a whole selection system for which order is selected for build. Allocation, Commodity, Priority, etc.

That is what I have read from the articles.

The communication should include your priority code as soon as it's set, and when you check back in see if he's playing games and it has changed . I can check online but I'm not sure if a retail buyer can. if you can't then I guess if the dealer won't show you the update you're at his mercy.

I expect a lot of people who ordered pickups are going to be waiting longer than they expected. I won't be one , only because I expect to wait longer. the markets are all at all time highs, the government is sending out free money and people are buying everything like drunk sailors. everything is going to be in short supply for a while so get whatever you want ordered and sit back because there's nothing you can do about it.
