2000 Ranger transmission
I have a 2000 Ranger 2wd automatic
I noticed the tail shaft is starting to shake the driveshaft. Give it a wobble effect.
I had swapped out the tranny before , and noticed a collar was wanting to slide off the tail shaft the old tranny.
on the replacement tranny did that collar come loose , and is it worn or another part worn ?
hope I don’t need to rebuild the tranny
any help with my issue is appreciated

I wouldn't think the tail shaft is shaking the driveshaft rather the driveshaft is shaking the output shaft.
Bad u joints, bent driveshaft, bad driveshaft yoke would be what I would expect.
