Bed rack/tent options
I am thinking about installing a rooftop tent on the bed of my 2008 Level II FX4. MY F450 and Arctic Fox camper are way to big to get into some remote areas.
I thought I would ask "what fits and what hits" here before buying anything.
I was leaning toward an ARB tent but the Smittybuilt is a bit cheaper.
Its the rack options that have me wondering what is the best option.

If you have a cap already why not just camp inside vs a tent? I have done that and have been in a couple that had a 'bed' made out of 2x4 and plywood with foam 'mattress'! Only limited by your imagination on what you can have. Small gen to run a elec heater (?) (outside of course). run the 2x4's crosswise and you can have ubderneath the bed storage if the plywood is moved to allow access.
