16.1 isn't all that bad strick88. If I were you, I'd switch to a Diablo chip first chance I got. Tomlongo bought one and it took .4 of his quarter time. From there, he proceeded to take about 2 seconds off. That's why I'm getting one. It's only like $230 too!

70mm KKB Throttle body
Spacer
Bassani cat-back
Also, you could go with the 4.10 gear drop and limited slip diff.
or pulleys, fans, rockers, gears

ie: pulleys and fans are expensive and don't give you very much power in the end. They also rob you in ways.

Here are some sites:

www.motorhaven.com <--great site!
www.seffects.com
www.rpm-mustangs.com

The last two are strictly for Mustangs, but you can still order parts for their 3.8 to fit your engine. (the 4.2)

What kind of truck do you drive? Also, those Dodge Caravans are pretty quick for vans!

Thats not that bad of a run really... Unfortunately we don't run 15's stock.

reg cab 4.2 5spds run 16.5's stock and the auto version runs mid 17s stock... slower if your ext. cab.

The van might have been faster, but let's see who pulls the heaviest trailer or who can haul the most lumber.

It is a truck after all.

Strick88,

You've got me beat. 17.070 was my best so far....but on that run I burned rubber for a half a second at the start. I got those Kumho Ecsta's coming in which will get me into the 16's. You single cab stick shift guys got it made, try getting my hump back whale to move. When I first got it, stock?????? 20+ in the quarter. talk about slow! Fagetaboutit. Managed to knock over 3 seconds off so far and still going. I should have those tires in this week, hopefully before Friday. If I do, I'll take it out again on Friday and see what the sticky stuff does for me.

Ah yes, that cold northern air certainly helps in times. It's still 85 degrees down here at night with about 90% humidity.

Also, Strick88, try running the 113 racing fuel they sell at the track, after you get your chip. I usually put $5.00 in before I start running.
