One day while driving my normal commute, I smelled a short circuit and found my speedometer cut out on me. My battery has been draining quickly, and I'm unsure of where the source of the drain is. I narrowed it down to a blown fuse #26 in the side compartment, which blows instantly when replaced and pulls a constant 12-12.5 V through it from my testing. I tried pulling every relay in both the power distribution box in the engine compartment, as well as auxiliary relay box 1 under the dash to the right of the steering column, but there was still the 12-12.5V running through #26. I've tested every other fuse in the side compartment and none of the others are blown, and same for the power distribution box. Any ideas of where to look now?

About 191k miles on it. Happy to answer any questions if I can.
I see you don't have any replies yet, so will try & get things started. Look in your owner manual for the things fused on #26 a 10 amp. (#26 10 amp fuse (Battery Saver Relay, Electronic Shift Relay, Interior Lamp Relay, Power Window Relay, Electronic Shift Control Module, Dome/Map Lamp, GEM).
Hook up your amp meter & begin disconnecting those items one at a time to see which gives the most voltage drop, then check that item & or the wiring to it for damaged insulation, like a cut, melt, or rub through & let us know what you find. If you recently worked on, repaired replaced parts or spliced onto one of these for a aftermarket add-on item power, put it & the work done, on the suspect list. Some beginning thoughts for consideration. Let us know what you find.
