Just thought I would post this here for all to see. Recently decided to go the dual electronic fans setup with my 5.0. after much thought and consideration this is what my father in law and I came up with. Let me know what you guys think. He works with furnaces and had access to a couple different brakes I know it looks light but it's actually quite heavy duty with all the bends we put in . Hope you like it
Looks nice and not trying to knock your work, but I believe this design may cause the engine to have elevated temps when at highway speeds, due to the air flow restriction with only having the two openings for the fans for air to flow and the fan's body's will restrict that flow even more. Sorry, just being honest. Another issue is the fans themselves, I wouldn't think 80watt fans would be near powerful enough to keep engine temps stable and/or cool. I could be wrong, but experience with electric fans led to my reply. Please don't take offence.
Thanks for the input , it's always valid. The fans will flow 3600 CFM apparently . All I can do is trial and error but from all the high quality electronic fans setups I ve seen they are all very similar to this . Also should be noted this more of a Sunday drive truck not a full daily driver. But once it's all together and I'm doing more frequent trips it's something I will be watching
