Hey y’all, I’m a long time Ford truck owner and this is my first post on this forum. I am looking to buy a 67-72 F100. I’ve always wanted one and I figure it is finally time to buy one, But I need someone’s help. Is there any current owners out there, that would be willing to take a couple measurements of their interior for me. I really need to know what is the distance in Inches from the bottom of the steering wheel to the seat back (fig.#1) and from the seat to the ceiling (fig.#2). I know it’s a weird question. But I really don’t want to get my hopes up only to find that I won’t fit, and if not, can I modify it enough so that I can.
You can swap in a seat from an 87-91 truck and gain a good amount of room, both in gut to steering wheel and in head room. I gained about 4" between the seat and the steering wheel, as well as 2" of headroom with that swap.
Thanks for the info. I found a 70 long bed I’m on my way to look at today, it has an aftermarket steering wheel with a lot shallower steering wheel, I will consider the newer bench seat though.
