Hi guys. I just got done replacing the injectors on my '99 last night. After I got done I gave it a once over and noticed I missed a connection that I can't find it's home. It comes from the wiring harness right in front of the turbo, the one in the middle of the picture with the clip. Thought I'd check here before I started tearing things back apart.
Fuel bowl heater, looks like it’s in the right location
That is either the IPR or the EBPV plug. The fuel bowl heater does not have a capture wire like the one in the image posted by Stymied1. In addition, this connector works for injectors as well. A lot of times people will take an old injector UVCH pigtail/connector and use it to apply 12v to an IPR during a HPOP dead head test. I sent one of these to FTE'r AndyM when his Excursion took a lightning strike.
It is not the fuel bowl heater connector as Sous points out....
But this is a good time to suggest.... unhook the fuel bowl connection... (it almost falls off) don't need it, and if the heating element burns out, fuse #30 blows and truck will not run. This fuel bowl sensor connection is also for the 'water in fuel' sensor. If one 'wants' the 'water in fuel' sensor and not have to worry about the heating element burning in half and leaving you on the side of the road, you can take a little time in the garage and take the fuel bowl filter out and unplug the wire in the bowl and never worry about it again (like.... Who worries about a fuel bowl heating element??? yep, no body.. until it breaks)
Thanks guys, I haven't gotten back out to look at it again, but It's not the fuel bowl heater,. That's the white one that Sous shows. I already had it unhooked from leaving me stranded at work a few years ago.

You are welcome sir. The other fellas nailed it before me though and should receive the credit. I only provided visual aids and reputable links to the sources.
We all make mistakes at times, it is how we recover from those mistakes that set us apart.
It's alive! Thanks again, this site is the only reason I've been able to keep my truck going and not give up on it and trade it in for something newer.
Hello Stymied1,
Great for the you.
Side bar question from the forum???
You said that you missed this 'connection' and wanted input on where we thought it should go????
Where did you eventually plug that connection into, to make it alive?
Yes, 'we' have a good idea of where to suggest, but the final test is YOU.
Future Brothers/Sisters will read this thread and will only want to read the First Post and the Last Post.
Fill out the Last Post, of where you did plug that connection in.
Brother Les,
The plug was the EBPV connection. I discovered my no start was due to a previously unknown power leak that's draining my new batteries and I just wasn't getting it to turn over fast enough. I had changed to the serpentine starter and installed new batteries, so was a bit blind to thinking that was an issue after tearing everything apart for the injectors, as well as replacing several other things I found while doing the work.
