This is #5. It made my Excursion idle rough, and it showed low RPM overfueling on AE. I'm going to get a new one, and banish thee to the land of Kores, along with the gorilla that cranked it down last time. LOL
So, I waited until this morning to put it all back together. It was a fight working next to the HVAC box yesterday. The injector hold down just about got the best of me. It was ridiculously tight.
Blew out the nipple cup, and hold down bolt hole. Looked good down there. No unexpected issued during the rest of re-assembly. Went through one 20 second cranking cycle, and it fired on the second. Let it settle, and then high idle for a few minutes while I checked for leaks. Road test, and some WOT pulls to bleed the air. After that, idle was back to normal, and HPO numbers looked good. I'll do another PB test this evening, and cold start it in the morning to see how it does. Only advice I would give is to get a 6.0 specific bit for the hold down bolt(if it exists), and a super shallow socket for the oil rail bolts. It's tight in there next to #5, and 7.
