He may have a little trouble dealing, but he'll pull through.

My dad died when I was 17, and my brother was 12 or 13. My brother had a bit of trouble growing up, and I wasn't any help to him until he straightened out. He failed grade 12 twice, got in with the wrong crowd, etc ...

Now, he has his GED, is at a full time job he's held for 4 years now, been promoted about 6 or 7 times, and has a "Dental Assistant's Assistant" certificate. (He makes dentures, and other dental appliances) He owns his truck outright, is currently paying off his motorcycle, and starting to look into real estate.

So, to sum up, I think your brother will be ok.

From somewhere, your mother still watches over you.

Keep the faith, do what is right, and remember everything she gave you.

My mother gave me everything I know about being a decent individual, and she left about two years ago.

I don't remember everything she said -

But she always wanted the best for me, and she made me a lot of who I am.

Think of her.

Respect who she was.

Realise that she would not want you to be unhappy.

Live in a way that will make her proud of you....

All things end sooner or later, it's your turn now!

You can make her happy, and it's a thing worth doing.

GOD bless...

This was Ronnie Van Zant's cut on it:

Mama told me when I was young
Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say.
And if you do this
It will help you some sunny day.

Take your time... Don't live too fast,
Troubles will come and they will pass.
Go find a woman and you'll find love,
And don't forget son,
There is someone up above.

(Chorus)
And be a simple kind of man.
Be something you love and understand.
Be a simple kind of man.
Won't you do this for me son,
If you can?

Forget your lust for the rich man's gold
All that you need is in your soul,
And you can do this if you try.
All that I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

(Chorus)

Boy, don't you worry... you'll find yourself.
Follow you heart and nothing else.
And you can do this if you try.
All I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

- I believe in that....

~Greywolf out....

(Yeah, I edited this a bit. It seemed to matter!)

My thoughts and prayers are with you rbrendel, and your family. The initial loss feels like the end of the world. But time does help to ease some of the pain. Fortunately, your not alone. And you have your siblings to talk to, and to share your sorrow with. And she will always be with you.
