It was unplugged the whole time , so I’m just eliminating the codes one by one. Now I just have a fuel pump relay code to figure. Hopefully it will fix my warming up dying issue.
I understand eliminating what you know is wrong, just stating it most likely will not fix your particular issue. Based on your other threads you are losing spark. Installing a new CANP solenoid will not fix that.
My money is on the PIP dropping out when it is warm. A VERY common issue. A great guide to prove or disprove my theory (check the PIP signal when the engine is warm): http://easyautodiagnostics.com/ford_...d_module_1.php
You stated you replaced the distributor already, was it new or "rebuilt"? The latter are notorious for having bad PIPs right of the box. The "rebuilders" usually do not test them.
Another item to look at is the connector on the coil. Another common failure point.
@rla2005 yes I have replaced the distributor. It was a Spectra FD13 from O’Reillys. One of the old wires was arcing really bad so I have replaced that. Re double checked my firing order. Testing the pip signal is just pulling out the dizzy plug and putting a test light through one of the power on the pins? Or am I wrong?
