Hi guy's, got a problem with the steering on my F1 with a CPP5000 that maybe you can help me with...... everything was Hunky Dory till about 2 months ago, the problem is when making right hand turns the steering gets a binding, resisting, knotting feeling. Turning left is ok. Checked & greased all the front end components, PS fluid is good, steering shaft U joint looks ok. Maybe the box is failing? The CPP upgrade was done 3 yeas ago, only 3000 miles since the swap over. Any ideas what might be going on here?
That doesn't seem like the steering box. I would double check the rest of the front end. Put it up on stands and turn the wheels. How does it feel then? Tires perhaps? Wonder if it has gone out of alignment.
Did all that, turns ok when up on stands with no binding. Not much alignment on the F1 so don't think it's that. I called CPP tech support ant they suggested to remove the steering shaft from the box and try turning it by hand.... not sure how that's going to work out but will give it a shot. Thanks for your input.
