Is this something any of you have seen? Pulled the ripping cover off of this seat to find a pristine seat underneath. Bottom is ripped all the way through, but is the same. Nephew said there was a tie on cover on top of everything. I thought it was weird, u til we looked at another truck we are getting this week and it has the same thing with blue seats. The secondary cover is stapled on, not a cheap one.
I've seen crappy work before as in the shop didn't remove the old, just added the new.
Seen PO's buy replacements and use the home stapler to attach them to the ripped one under it. I've seen hand sewn covers duct taped on or bungeed on.
Not sure if that's the case for you since you have 2 different trucks that are the same way but if they are in the same area then maybe the owner knew each other or they both went to the same shop or used the same guy.
