Hi new member here. I have a 2020 ford f150 3.5 eco boost, a 1952 F-1 Ford truck and a 1965 Mustang. Currently trying to put a mustang 2 front end under the 1952 F-1. having some clearance issues with the engine on the cross member and the rack and pinion steering. It has the inline 6 cylinder in it. anyone have any experience with this?
It's been almost two weeks since you joined us, and we haven't yet Welcomed You to FTE!
I'll have to set aside my envy of your 2020 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost (nice!) in order to direct you to some specific FTE sub-forum resources where you might find some help with the rack and pinion steering and engine clearance over crossmember questions that you have when mounting a Mustang II independent front suspension under your 1952 F-1 (also nice!).
Over the last couple of decades that FTE has been around, quite a few members have chronicled the builds and modifications of the front chassis on their vintage F-1 Ford classic pickups on the 1948 - 1956 F1, F100 & Larger F-Series Trucks sub-forum.
Just purchased a 51 F1 for a Resto/Mod and man do I have a lot of questions. First I would like to know if there are any "bolt on" IFS systems? I don't want to do any welding right now and a custom frame would break the bank

Then add your mustang II front end to it. Best to talk directly with chassis engineering and they will give you the pro and cons of the install in regards to motors, power steering extra. I also suggest buy the whole kit together not a part at a time. Savings are pretty good doing this and as they put the kit together you get the right parts for your application. For example if you go with the power steering option they should know to add the extension pieces as the truck is wider than a mustang or the rack will be too short.
Also there is another supplier in Florida who does a kit utilizing crown vic parts, both rear end and front end. Team 321.
Hope this helps
So head on down to the 1948 - 1956 F1, F100 & Larger F-Series Trucks sub-forum, where members with experience in these types of modifications can offer some input into your project.
And as for that 2020 F-150, you can always leave that in my driveway (along with the keys, please) while you're busy fixing up your '52. And if you want to read about what I might do to it while it is in my custody, head on over to the 2015+ F-150 Forum on FTE, which is our sub-forum where aluminum body F-150's are discussed.
