Engine suddenly runs rough
Every once in a while the engine acts like it looses a couple of cylinders. Then it goes back to normal. Recently I noticed that it does it every time I am backing up up hill. I think that must be causing it although it does it other times sometimes. Any ideas. 2006 F150.

Could bad plugs cause a missfire that was intermittent? I don't know how old they are. I have had the truck for about 4 years and never changed them. I was thinking about buying the torque check app and the usb device to read the codes. Do you thing that is a very good code reader?

yes bad plugs or coils can cause the problem.. I just have a GENERIC code reader that gives CODES that are SET... Some code readers can do real time data and see miss fires, etc............. that is what you need... I cant say for sure if Torque Pro does that.
