Fuel pump upgrade
My truck came to me with an already upgraded inline external fuel pump mounted on the frame rail near the middle of the truck.
It's no longer working, and I am new to diesels. Not sure what kind of pump I should look for as a replacement?
The truck also has a aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. What kind of fuel pressure should I be looking for when setting this all up?

Fuel pump for a 2000 -2001 7.3l. I use Airtex E2236. My fuel pressure is about 65 psi and under throttle with stage 1 injectors it will drop about 2 psi.. Before pump change be sure you have power at the pump. I just went through this and it was a bad relay, but I did not check power first so mine has a new pump and relay. Also is this a efuel kit? if so you need to know what kind and what pump they used. Post a pic if you can.

Looks like a Walbro 255 that I've used on many cars before. I was just unsure if there is a difference in fuel pumps for Diesel vs. gas engines. A little Google searching shows I can use the pumps just the same.
I'll be upgrading with a Bosch 044 pump. And fixing the crappy install.
