Ranger throwing multiple codes, can anyone help?
2012 Ranger Gen 4, 2.2 16V TDCi.
Everything was working fine, started the car one day and the ESP light came on. later that day the ABS light came on too.
Cruise control and hill climb/decent assistant are now not functioning either.
We've got an OBD reader, and its showing the following fault codes:
C006A
U0126
C1B22
C1109
C0063
So far from what I understand it's the yaw rate sensor that is faulty. does anyone know where that's located? I'm taking it its somewhere really awkward😭😂
Thanks for any info you guys can give me, appreciate it.
Adam.
Good idea to have scanned for & posted the trouble code Numbers.
61 reads but no replies yet, so I'll see if I can get things started. The U0126 is for a loss of communication on the SAS (Steering Angle Sensor) & the sensors & controllers rarely go bad, so did the problem come about suddenly after some event??? The loss of SAS communication can cause the other codes.
Begin your trouble shoot by checking for a blown fuse on that circuit & if ok, look for a ground, wiring damage, or electrical connector problem between the SAS & controller, like a loose or corroded ground, faulty electrical connector, like corrosion on, or bent pins or spread sockets, or maybe a faulty wire crimp at the pin / wire strand interface. If no blown fuse, or visible wiring or connector problem, try a wiring run & sensor wiggle / thump test, to see if you can cause the problem to clear & if so, concentrate your trouble shoot in that area. Have a read here for more info on the U0126 code https://www.obd-codes.com/u0126. Some beginning thoughts for consideration, let us know what you find.
